Gang Rape | The release of 12 convicts in the Bilkis Bano gangrape case has evoked a lot of reactions. This decision of the Gujarat government is being criticized a lot. Meanwhile, during a conversation with a TV channel, actress Shabana Azmi was in tears. He said that the release of the culprits of the heinous crime and then welcoming them with flowers is very shameful.

Shabana Azmi said, I was shocked when I came to know that 11 convicts were released. These people are released and then laddoos are distributed. What message are we giving to the society by doing this and in what way are we compromising with the respect of women. Shabana Azmi wept while saying this. He said that the whole country should come out on the road against it but there is a silence.

He said that the issue is being projected as if it is a vote bank issue. It is used to create communal conflict in the society. Let us inform that after the release of these culprits, a BJP leader had said that they are all Brahmins and are cultured. On this, Azmi said, those who have been convicted and the entire process has been done, they are being called Brahmins and cultured. What does it mean after all?

He raised questions as to why the Human Rights Commission is silent on this issue, why the Department of Women and Child Development is silent and why the BJP's Mahila Morcha is silent. Don't you have humanity left in you? He said, a big incident happened with Bilkis Bano but he did not lose his patience and got these people punished. But how far will she fight alone, we all should come and stand for her. He said, I am ashamed, what else can I say.

BJP leaders have also criticized the decision

Many BJP leaders have also criticized the release and welcome of the culprits. Among them, Khushboo Sundar is also named. Khushboo Sundar had said that the soul of the person who is raped or brutalized remains injured for life. Such culprits should not be set free. It is an insult to womanhood. At the same time, Devendra Fadnavis had also said that it was wrong to welcome the accused. Former Himachal Chief Minister Shanta Kumar had also expressed his opinion and said that it is not right to welcome gangrape convicts like this.
