The traffic constable was overwhelmed by the challan of a person living in Najafgarh area for roaming on a bike without a helmet. Angry with the challan, the bike rider not only thrashed the policeman but also tore his uniform. On the complaint of the constable, the Najafgarh police station has arrested the accused bike rider who has registered a case.

The victim constable has been identified as Jitendra Kumar. He is posted in Najafgarh circle of traffic. On Saturday, his duty was engaged in the furniture market of Najafgarh. At around 12 noon, two people on a bike were coming from the wrong direction without helmets. The soldier tried to stop them. But, the bike riders ran away.


The soldier took a photo of the bike and challaned him through the app. After some time the person riding the bike reached there and started abusing the challaning soldier. On protesting, the constable was slapped and his uniform was torn. Thereafter the accused absconded.


The accused told the constable that his name was Satyavan and he was a transporter. No policeman has challaned him till date. The other constable present there called the police. The police registered a case on the statement of the constable. Thereafter the accused was arrested.
