During this, Sonia Gandhi has made it clear to him that it will be completely genuine elections. Anyone who wants to contest for the post of President can enter the fray. Not only this, the interim president of Congress also made it clear that complete transparency and fairness will also be maintained during this period. It is believed that after this Tharoor is ready to enter the race for the post of Congress President.

Tharoor raised questions

It is worth noting that a few days before this, Tharoor had raised questions about transparency and fairness in the election of the President's post. According to Congress sources, during her meeting with Shashi Tharoor, Sonia Gandhi has assured him that the elections will be completely transparent and fair. It is believed that after getting assurance from Sonia, Tharoor is preparing to contest for the post of Congress President. Efforts were made to contact Tharoor to know his side, but he could not be reached. Earlier, Congress had said that anyone can claim for the post of party president. However, for this it will need the support of at least 10 delegates.

MPs wrote letter to Madhusudan Mistry

Significantly, in the past, many Congress MPs have demanded transparency in the election process of the President. In this regard, five Congress MPs wrote a letter to the head of the internal election panel of the Congress, Madhusudan Mistry. In this letter, there was a demand to give a list of PCC delegates to all the voters and candidates who are able to contest for the post of Congress President. On September 6, this joint letter was written by Lok Sabha MPs Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tewari, Karti Chidambaram, Pradyut Bordoloi and Abdul Khaleque. It was asked that this list should be made available, so that it can be clear who is entitled to nominate candidates and vote.
