India-Sri Lanka Relations: Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri said on Monday that his government has not allowed the Chinese ship to stop in Sri Lanka. Ali Sabri clearly said in the discussion that India's concerns matter to Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabri said, 'As far as I know, we have not allowed the Chinese ship to come to Sri Lanka in October. Indian security agencies had expressed concern about this, which is right and very important for us too. The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister further said that 'We have always said that we want to keep our territory safe.' Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also said that an SOP has been made for foreign ships to come to Sri Lanka and carry out any activity in the area.

Chinese navy ship came to Sri Lanka to stay for three months

In fact, the Chinese Navy ship Xin Yan 6 was to stay at the port of eastern Sri Lanka in October for about three months. India objected to this, fearing it as espionage. After which now the statement of the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka has come out.

This Chinese research ship was going to come to Sri Lanka for marine research. Victoria Nuland, a top minister of the US government, also expressed concern about this to the Sri Lankan government. On the arrival of foreign ships to Sri Lanka and India's concerns about it, Ali Sabri said that 'India has been expressing concern about this for a long time. In such a situation, we have prepared SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), when we were making SOP, we discussed it with many friendly countries, including India. As long as things go according to our SOP, we have no problem, but if the SOP is violated, we will have a problem. Ali Sabri said that Sri Lanka did not allow the Chinese ship to stop, but he also said that talks are still going on.

Chinese ship spies in the name of research

China is notorious for spying in the Indian Ocean. He reveals his evil intentions by carrying out espionage work in the Indian Ocean under the pretext of his research ship. For this reason, when this Chinese research ship reached Colombo Port in Sri Lanka, India objected and lodged a protest with Sri Lanka. China's ship Xi Yan 6 is not the first to come to Sri Lanka. A year ago, Yuan Wang 5 had reached Sri Lanka and anchored at Hambantota port. India had strongly opposed the coming of this superpowerful spy ship to Sri Lanka. America had also opposed the Chinese ship and given advice to Sri Lanka but this too had no effect on Colombo.
