A surprising case has come to light in Deoria district. While sleeping in the verandah of the house at five o'clock in the morning of Wednesday in village Devtahan Tola Chithin of Gauri Bazar police station area, the step-brother killed two real brothers by slitting their throats with a knife. On receiving the information, DIG/SP Dr. Shripati Mishra reached the spot and took stock of the incident. On the other hand, three people, including the accused, are being questioned by the police by taking them into custody.
Srinivas Prasad, a resident of village Devtahan Chithi Tola, has done two marriages. Srinivas lives and works in Dubai. Jitendra, son of his first wife Kusum, also lives with him. While one son Raju stays at home.
Raju, his mother Kusum and sister-in-law Archana feared that his father would send more money to his second wife Mansha Devi. Mansha has two sons Ajay (19) and Abhishek (14). Both were sleeping together in the verandah of the house on Wednesday morning.
Mother intent had gone out for defecation. At the same time, the accused Raju, who was already ambushed, killed both the brothers by slitting their throats with a knife. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared both of them brought dead.
On the other hand, the police have taken the accused Raju, along with Kusum Devi and Archana Devi, into custody. On reaching the spot, SP Shripati Mishra, CO Rudrapur and local police are taking stock of the spot and interrogating the villagers.
