New Delhi: The visual of full Strawberry moon, the last super moon of the year, rises above Kuwait City.

Almost a month after we witnessed a rare total lunar eclipse along with a Supermoon and Bloodmoon, earth's natural satellite appeared brighter and bigger in night skies on Thursday.

According to reports, the Strawberry Moon will appear from June 25, around midnight and will be visible for the next three days, till early Saturday morning.

During this phenomenon, the Moon appears bigger than its normal size due to proximity to Earth in its orbit.

The celestial event has got the Strawberry Moon not because it looks like a strawberry. It got its name from ancient American tribes who marked the full moon with the beginning of the harvesting season for strawberries.
