After Delhi, the spirit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has waved its success in Punjab, is on the seventh sky. Undoubtedly, it is moving from a regional party to a national party. With this intention, she now wants to spread her legs by starting a big membership campaign in South India.

If political pundits are to be believed, then AAP is trying to become an alternative to Congress, because Mamata Banerjee has not got the same success as Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has so far. Senior AAP leader Somnath Bharti said that his party will launch membership drive in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep. Talking to reporters in Delhi on Friday, he said that after AAP's landslide victory in Punjab, people of South India have started showing interest in the party.

Bharti said that due to the mood of the people and the support our team is getting in South India, we have decided to conduct membership drive in the entire region. Bharti said that this campaign will be run by the local units of the party.

He said that this campaign would be actively launched in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep. "I call upon all those who feel the need to bring about a change in the politics of India, join you and be a part of the revolution," he said. Bharti said the party has also decided to conduct foot marches in the southern states in a phased manner. It will start from Telangana on April 14, the birth anniversary of Babasaheb BR Ambedkar.

AAP had contested the 2018 assembly elections in Karnataka and Telangana, but could not open the account. Now after the conquest of Punjab, she wants to make fresh inroads in South India. It remains to be seen how successful he can get in this.
