Jammu Kashmir News: On Friday, terrorists opened fire on a police team in Natipora area of ​​Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. After this, in retaliation, a terrorist was killed by the police force. However, another managed to escape from the spot. Police have recovered arms and ammunition. Jammu and Kashmir has seen a spurt in terrorist incidents in recent times.

On Thursday itself, terrorists hurled a grenade at the security forces at 8:40 pm in Safakadal area of ​​Srinagar. But no one was killed in the explosion. Not only this, the terrorists shot dead two teachers of a government school, including a woman, during the day. Earlier on Tuesday, terrorists shot dead three people at three different places within one and a half hours.

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh on Thursday said that the purpose of targeted killing of civilians, especially minorities in Kashmir, is to create an atmosphere of fear and damage the age-old communal harmony. Singh said those who were targeting humanity, brotherhood and local values ​​would soon be exposed.

Seven civilians have been killed in Kashmir within five days. In view of terrorist activity in Kashmir, Home Minister Amit Shah held a high level meeting on Thursday. Shah has called Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to Delhi.
