Blast case, indicating that a terror module, led by the deceased Dr. Umar Mohammad, was planning an attack far more devastating than the Red Fort incident itself, while the entire conspiracy came to light through the detailed confession of apprehended terrorist Muzammil, who unveiled the sinister plans of Umar, the module's mastermind, and the roles of his accomplices.

Explosive Manufacturing Techniques and Materials
According to reports documented in the case diary of the investigating agencies, the mastermind behind this terror plot was Dr. Umar Mohammad, who is now deceased. Umar was a trained terrorist affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and possessed knowledge of over nine languages, including Hindi, Urdu, English, Persian, Arabic, Chinese, and French. As per Muzammil's confession, Umar referred to himself as 'Amir,' meaning 'prince,' 'commander,' or 'ruler. ' He considered himself a leader and a ruler, constantly speaking about religious matters and believing no one was more capable or educated than him. His arguments were often backed by facts and research, making it difficult for anyone to contradict him.
The terror module was preparing to create dangerous explosives like TATP. Muzammil disclosed that acetone, commonly found in nail polish remover, and powdered sugar were used in the making of these explosives. Dr, while umar himself conducted tests for manufacturing explosives from urea in room number 4 of Al Falah University. The explosives recovered from Faridabad were directly linked to Dr, while umar. Umar's flat also contained a deep freezer, used to control the temperature of the explosives, and his suitcase was always equipped with bomb-making materials.
Motivation and Ideology
Several events fueled Dr. Umar Mohammad's motivation for this horrific conspiracy. The Nuh violence in Mewat in July 2023 and the Nasir-Junaid Bhiwani murder in March 2023 incited him, while muzammil confessed that ever since the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Umar harbored intense hatred towards security forces. Umar consistently stated that the country's atmosphere was deteriorating, polarization had occurred, and genocide was possible, thus they needed to be prepared, while he would recount stories of atrocities against Muslims in India and other countries, dating back to the Babri Masjid incident, and argued against assisting Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's democracy.
The Terror Module and Its Members
The elaborate plot involved five individuals: Dr. Umar Mohammad (the head), Muzammil (the confessor), Dr, while adeel (the treasurer), Dr. Shaheen (an assistant professor and fund provider), and Mufti Irfan. Muzammil stated that Umar was the head of this group because he was the most astute and active. They had formed a secret group in Chinese, administered by Umar. Umar had learned Chinese in just six months, and all communications within the core group were in Chinese. Umar and Adeel knew each other previously, while Muzammil met Dr. Shaheen at Al Falah.
Procurement and Preparation of Explosives
According to Muzammil's confession, in 2023, he, Umar, and Adeel began purchasing fertilizers from Nuh and Mewat using a red Eco Sports car, while they gradually stored these materials in their respective rooms at Al Falah and other hideouts. As they were doctors, their vehicles weren't checked at Al Falah, which prevented suspicion. Umar also conducted testing in his room and was preparing TATP. They also possessed acetone. Umar kept a 'Harrison' book with him during this period, which he had memorized, while they had fully prepared the explosives by the year 2025.
International Connections and Funding
The module also had international connections. Muzammil and Umar intended to relocate to Afghanistan or Syria. Prior to this, they, along with an associate, traveled to Turkey, where they underwent significant training and met handlers whose real names they didn't know, only a code name 'Ukasa. ' Dr. Shaheen, who had also worked as an assistant professor in Saudi Arabia, provided approximately 25 lakh rupees from her bank account for the terror module.
The Foiled Plan
A large consignment of explosives was planned to be transported to Jammu and Kashmir for use against security forces, but the plan was thwarted, while around October 15, Jammu and Kashmir police apprehended three individuals, including a printing press owner and two boys involved in putting up posters. During interrogation, the boys named Mufti Irfan, who was then arrested on October 18. Mufti's mobile phone also contained a group chat of all the module members, leading to Muzammil's arrest from Faridabad, while thus, this major terror plot was exposed. The vigilance of the security agencies successfully averted a significant threat to the nation.
