The second song 'Monica' from the film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has been released, in which Pooja Hegde is winning hearts in her glamorous style. The film will hit the theaters on August 14, 2025 and is set to offer a great mix of action, drama and entertainment.

'Monica' song rocks

The 'Monica' music video has garnered more than 50 lakh views within 24 hours of its release. The makers shared the achievement on their official Instagram handle and wrote, "Thalaiya Suththavaikkum, Sooravalli Ponnachi! More than 50 lakh people's love for our sensational Monica. Watch the second single #Monica from #Coolie starring Pooja Hegde." Pooja Hegde looks very attractive in this song in a red, shiny, high-slit gown. Their dance moves, combined with Anirudh Ravichander's music and Soubin Shahir's choreography make this song a perfect party number. The song is sung by Sublashini and Anirudh Ravichander, while the rap is by Asal Kolar and the lyrics are penned by Vishnu Edavan.

'Coolie' has a strong starcast and story

'Coolie' will feature Rajinikanth as well as Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in a cameo role. This is Rajinikanth's 171st film, which is set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. Lokesh Kanagaraj has clarified that the film will not be a part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) but will be a standalone story.

The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, which is his fourth collaboration with Lokesh. Girish Gangadharan has handled the cinematography of the film, while Philomin Raj is its editor.

Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth's special pair

The special attraction in 'Coolie' is the pair of Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth, who will be sharing the screen together after almost 38 years. The two were last seen in the 1986 Tamil film 'Mr. Bharat', where Sathyaraj played Rajinikanth's father. Interestingly, Sathyaraj had turned down offers to work in Rajinikanth's films like 'Enthiran' and 'Sivaji', but they have come together once again for 'Coolie'.

Box office blast on August 14

'Coolie' is expected to release in more than 100 countries. The film will clash at the box office on the same day with Ayan Mukerji's 'War 2', starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch both the blockbuster films in theaters.
