The condition of an abandoned newborn found in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan is improving every day. After fluctuating in the health of the newborn for several days, now stability has come. On February 8, someone had left the girl on a handcart on number one road in the city. When someone was noticed, he was admitted to BDK Hospital. Due to lying on the handcart in winter, he had got many serious diseases.

Disease specialist Dr. Jitendra Bhambu told that the health of the girl child is being monitored continuously. Heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, urine and weight gain etc. are being continuously checked. He told that due to low weight and being born prematurely, the girl is not able to drink mother's milk yet. Right now she is being given milk through an OG tube. Kangaroo mother therapy is being given to the girl child by the nursing staff. Dr. Bhabu told that many mothers have expressed their desire to feed the girl child. Some mothers have donated milk for the baby girl to the lactation center of BDK hospital.

The condition of the girl worsened due to these reasons

  • The cold stress had depleted the child's stored energy.
  • The sugar level had come down to the lowest level.
  • Lungs were weak.
  • Intermittent breathing was stopping.
  • The weight was too low.
  • to be born prematurely.
  • jaundice
This improvement is necessary

  • Maintaining a constant constant temperature of the baby.
  • To develop the ability to drink milk from a bowl-spoon instead of a tube.
  • Persistent weight gain.
  • Complete elimination of dependence on oxygen.
  • Protection from infection.
