Veteran actor Salim Ghaus, best known for his roles in serials like "Bharat Ek Khoj" and several films like "Sardari Begum" and "Soldier", died of a heart attack on Thursday. Gauss started his film career in 1978 as a student in the film 'Swarg Narak'. He also acted in Shyam Benegal's 'Manthan', 'Kalyug', 'Sardari Begum' and Mahesh Bhatt's 'Saaransh' and Saeed Mirza's 'Mohan Joshi Hazar Ho'. He played Ram, Krishna and Tipu Sultan in various episodes of Shyam Benegal's famous 1988 TV series Bharat Ek Khoj.

Anita Saleem said in an exclusive conversation with The Indian Express, after experiencing pain in her chest on Wednesday night, she passed away on Thursday morning due to cardiac arrest. "We took him to Kokilaben Hospital last night and he passed away this morning," he said. He hated mourning and wanted life to go on. He did not suffer, he does not like to depend on anyone.
