Lunar Eclipse 26 May 2021 in India: The first lunar eclipse of the year is going to take place on 26 May 2021. This time the lunar eclipse will be a full lunar eclipse. This lunar eclipse will be visible in East Asia, Australia, Pacific and America. It will also be visible from parts of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Ocean. According to Indian time, the first lunar eclipse of this year will start at 2.17 in the morning and will end at 7.19 in the evening. According to a release by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, there will be a full lunar eclipse on Wednesday and it will be visible from parts of northeastern states of India, parts of West Bengal, parts of Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands for some time.

A full lunar eclipse will occur on May 26, 2021. Just after the moonrise in India, the end of the partial phase of the eclipse will be visible from northeastern parts of India (except Sikkim), parts of West Bengal, some coastal parts of Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to a report by the news agency PTI, there may be less possibility of eclipse due to cyclone Yas in West Bengal and Odisha. The partial phase of the eclipse will start at around 3:15 pm according to Indian time and will end at 6.23 pm in the evening. The eclipse will also be visible in areas covering South America, North America, Asia, Australia, Antarctica, the Pacific Ocean, and the Indian Ocean.

Those interested in this astronomical event will be able to see the full lunar eclipse on May 26, 2021. This phenomenon is also called blood moon because the moon appears slightly reddish-orange in it. Significantly, for the first time after 21 January 2019, a full lunar eclipse is going to happen.

A full lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, causing the Sun's rays to not reach the Moon directly. Conversely, a solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves between the Earth and the Sun and casts shadows on the Earth by blocking the Sun's rays.

This year's first full lunar eclipse is rare in many ways. It will be called a supermoon on the eclipse day and will be of blood red color. These two coincidences occur once in many years. According to scientists, this is called a super lunar event. Because it will also be a supermoon, there will be an eclipse and the moon will look bloody red.

According to science, when the moon is completely covered behind the Earth, there is no light of the sun on it. It goes into darkness. But the moon is never completely black. It starts to look red. Therefore, a full lunar eclipse is sometimes called a blood moon.

The lunar eclipse is an astronomical event. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and when the Moon comes out of the Earth's shadow. When the Earth stops the sun's rays completely, it is called a full lunar eclipse but when only a part of the moon is hidden it is called a partial lunar eclipse.

The lunar eclipse always occurs on the full moon night. A lunar eclipse occurs only when the moon passes through the shadow of the earth maximum three times in a year.

Partial eclipse will be seen on 26 May in some cities of India. These cities include Agartala, Aizawl, Kolkata, Cherrapunji, Cooch Behar, Diamond Harbor, Digha, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Lumding, Malda, North Lakhimpur, Puri, Silchar.
