Lashkar commander killed in encounter

The slain terrorists were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. These include a major Lashkar commander who has been identified as Arif. Security forces have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the terrorists.

According to a police spokesman, the security forces launched a search operation there after receiving a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Pahu area of ​​South Kashmir's Pulwama district. He said that during this operation the terrorists hiding there opened indiscriminate fire on the security forces, after which the security forces also retaliated, which started the encounter.
