The Jat-Muslim-Dalit and Gujjar communities coming together in western UP have the power to make or break the game of any party. In the western districts, Muslims are 30 to 45 percent and Jats are also 20 to 30 percent. Dalit voters are also around 25 percent. Similarly, Gurjar community also has political potential. If the four castes get together, then there can be a lot of difficulties for the BJP in western UP.

Jayant Chaudhary has joined hands with the SP to win the trust of the Muslim community in western UP, has maintained a strong friendship with Chandrashekhar Azad for Dalit votes, and is constantly lobbying for the Congress to be included in the alliance. In such a situation, if they go with BJP, their political formula of connecting Muslim-Dalit with RLD may be eclipsed. That is why Jayant Chowdhary has clearly stated during the meeting of Muslim intellectuals at the Indian Islamic Cultural Center that he is and will remain with the opposition alliance I.N.D.I.A. The talk of alliance with BJP is a fabrication of the media.

Worry about the future more than the present

RLD's alliance with BJP is being speculated. Jayant Chaudhary also knows that the 2024 election can be won by forging an alliance with the BJP, but a very long innings cannot be played in politics. Jat voters can be united on alliance with BJP. Jats can be successful in winning three-four seats on the basis of votes and can also become ministers in the center.

RLD was also successful in winning five Lok Sabha seats in 2009 elections along with BJP, but Jayant Chaudhary's dream is now much more than that. The political formula that Jayant wants to make in western UP, he will not be able to implement that plan by staying with the BJP. This is the reason why Jayant Chaudhary is looking at the strength of his future politics more than taking advantage of the present.

Jayant Chowdhary knows that if he joins hands with BJP, he will not be able to keep Muslims with him, because Muslim voting pattern itself has been anti-BJP. If Jayant joins hands with BJP then Muslim will never come with him again. Apart from this, he is on a campaign to connect Dalit voters through Chandrashekhar. He hopes that if the BSP becomes weak, then Chandrashekhar Azad can become an alternative to Mayawati. In such a situation, he will also get the political benefit of friendship with Chandrashekhar, but it is not easy to keep Chandrashekhar with him if he forms an alliance with BJP. The trust being built among the Dalits may also suffer a setback.

INDIA became more preferred than NDA

Jayant Chaudhary is understanding the politics of Western UP very well. Jayant also knows that without him it is not easy for the opposition to compete with the BJP in West UP. That is why RLD is demanding a dozen Lok Sabha seats in western UP and is also preparing to contest elections on these seats. They also feel that RLD can get only four to five seats in alliance with BJP while they are expected to get at least 6 to 8 seats in the opposition alliance.

In this way RLD is seeing more advantage in I.N.D.I.A than NDA in terms of seats. Apart from this, while being in the opposition camp, he can give an edge to his future politics. This is the reason why the opposition camp is suiting Jayant Chaudhary more politically than the ruling party.
