In a statement to news agency ANI, Congress party spokesperson Alka Lamba said that in a meeting with the top leadership of the party, it has been decided to contest all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Lamba said, 'Rahul Gandhi, Kharge ji, KC Venugopal and Deepak Babaria ji were present in the meeting which lasted for 3 hours. We have been told to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. It has been decided that we will contest on all the 7 seats. There are 7 months left and all party workers have been asked to prepare for all the seven seats.

There was a stir as soon as the statement of Congress leader Alka Lamba came to the fore. Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said, '...if they (Congress) do not want to form an alliance in Delhi, then the I.N.D.I.A.
