Delhi Capitals vs Delhi Daredevils

Before Royal Challengers Bangalore, two more teams have changed their names. The Delhi team is currently known and known as Delhi Capitals, earlier its name was Delhi Daredevils. But till the year 2017, when the team could not win the IPL even once, the name of the team was changed to Delhi Capitals. After this, the team reached the finals in the 2020 IPL, but remained one step away from the title. That means the Delhi Capitals team could not win the trophy even after changing its name.

Kings XI Punjab renamed as Punjab Kings

The name of Punjab team was earlier Kings XI Punjab. This team is also playing in IPL for the first time. But there is a zero in the name of the title. Till the year 2020, the team continued playing under the name Kings XI Punjab, but suddenly before IPL 2021, the name of the team was changed to Punjab Kings. It was said that not only 11 but many people have a role in the performance of the team, hence the team will now be known as Punjab Kings. This team has played the IPL final only once in the year 2014, since then, leave alone the title, the team has not even been able to make it to the playoffs.

Sunrajers Hyderabad replaced Deccan Chargers

It can be said that apart from these three, one more team had changed its name. Actually, when IPL started in the year 2008, there was one team, Deccan Chargers. This team also won the IPL title in the year 2009. But after a few years, this team was out of IPL and a new team from Hyderabad came, whose name is Sunrisers Hyderabad. Actually, there is no similarity between these two teams. That means both are owned by different people, but being a Hyderabad team, they are combined. Also won the IPL title in 2016 from Sunrisers Hyderabad. But after this the team's performance was nothing special.
