West Bengal: After the first day of Panchayat elections, incidents of violence are happening in different areas of the state even on the second day of nomination. Pictures of unrest in the district are coming to the fore again and again. Bengal has not been an exception to the reports of unrest on Saturday as well. There have been reports of unrest in many districts including Birbhum, Howrah, Murshidabad, Bankura. Meanwhile, in Murshidabad a TMC leader was openly roaming around with a pistol. The police arrested him.

There have been allegations of stopping the nomination of BJP in Katwa of East Bardhaman. BJP candidates and leaders are accused of beating up workers and driving them away. It is claimed that BJP candidates and leaders returned crying without filing their nominations. Trinamool has been accused of obstructing the miscreants.

On the other hand, there was a lot of unrest in Birbhum's Lavapur regarding the filing of nominations. BJP's Mandal Vice President Somnath Mandal is accused of assault. It is alleged that the hands and legs of Somnath Mandal were broken. The allegation is on the miscreants who came under the shelter of Trinamool.

Meanwhile, there has been an atmosphere of unrest in Bankura's Bishnupur regarding nomination. Trinamool has been accused of beating BJP candidates. Under the leadership of BJP's Bishnupur Rural Mandal 1 President Tapan Majuri, 50 BJP candidates came to file their nominations. He was allegedly manhandled before entering the BDO office.
