Dussehra 2023: According to the calendar, today is the tenth day of Shuklapaksha of Ashwin month, which is known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra festival in Hindu religion. On this festival of victory, not only the worship of Lord Ram and the burning of Ravana takes place, but this festival is also known for Durga immersion, buying and worshiping of vehicles, worship of weapons, worship of Shami and worship of Jaya-Vijaya. Although there is no need of any auspicious time on this day because Dussehra is considered to be an unknown time, still from the point of view of Panchang, you can know the auspicious time for many things. Auspicious time and method of Dussehra worship

According to the Panchang, today you can worship Dussehra during Abhijeet Muhurta between 11:43 am to 12:28 pm and during Vijay Muhurta between 01:58 to 02:43 pm. According to Hindu belief, today before the worship of Dussehra, a person should worship and immerse the Goddess, only after that Lord Ram should be worshiped with proper rituals by offering fruits, flowers, incense, lamps, offerings etc. On this day, water from the Navratri Kalash should be sprinkled all over the house, so that the blessings of Goddess Durga remain on your home and family throughout the year.

When and how to do Shastra Puja

On the day of Dussehra, there is a tradition of worshiping weapons along with worshiping Lord Rama. According to the Panchang, today there are two auspicious times for weapon worship. In which the best time, which is also called Vijay Muhurta, will be between 01:58 to 02:43 in the afternoon. Apart from this, you can do it in the second Vijay Muhurta i.e. after Surya, when stars start appearing in the sky. During this time, you should become pure in body and mind, after cleaning the weapon, purify it with Ganga water, then apply tilak on it with turmeric, sandalwood, roli etc. and offer flowers. After this, you should light a lamp and pray for your happiness, good fortune and safety.

Worshiping this plant on the day of Dussehra is believed to yield manifold results. According to Hindu belief, this plant protects humans from all kinds of obstacles including removing Shani Dosh. When and how to do Durga Visarjan

According to Hindu belief, after worshiping Maa Durga for 9 days of Navratri, she is ritually immersed on the tenth day so that she returns to her world happily showering her blessings. According to the Panchang, the auspicious time for Durga Visarjan today on Dussehra will be between 06:27 to 08:42 in the morning. If you do not want to immerse Goddess Durga on Tuesday, you can also immerse her after sunrise tomorrow.
