Eyewitnesses say that the Fortuner suddenly came on the highway, due to which a Skoda Kodiaq SUV coming at a high speed collided.

The collision was so severe that the Skoda Kodiaq caught fire. However, it is the built quality of these SUVs that the passengers got out safely from both the SUVs. Had the same accident happened with any of the weaker SUVs, the consequences could have been much more disastrous. He has definitely suffered minor injuries in the accident. Due to which the passengers were immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The Toyota Fortuner involved in the accident is the first generation version which featured 2 airbags and ABS. It got 2 turbo diesel engines - a 2.5L-4 cylinder unit that generates 143 Bhp-320 Nm and a 3L-4 cylinder unit that generates 171 Bhp-343 Nm.

While the Skoda Kodiaq is also a powerful SUV, which currently costs around Rs 40 lakh. This is the first generation model, in which a 2 liter turbo diesel engine has been given. The Kodiaq gets an impressive 9 airbags and a host of safety features like ABS + EBD, TCS and driver alert system.
