MP / Two Men Allegedly Assaulted, Shaved Heads Over Friendship With Woman In Jabalpur

Jabalpur: A shocking news has come out from Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. A 20-year-old man and his friend were allegedly beaten up for friendship with a woman here. Not only this, the hair of his head was cut and he was also garlanded with shoes. The woman's father and three other accused have been arrested in the case. They have been booked under the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The complaint of this incident, which occurred on 22 May, was lodged a few days later by the victim.

Complainant Rajkumar Dehria told the police that he was friends with a 19-year-old woman from an influential family belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community. He said that the woman told him that he was not allowed to go out and did not have a phone to communicate, so he borrowed his friend's mobile phone and gave it to him.

According to the police complaint, when the woman's father came to know about the phone call, her relatives brought Dehria and her friend to their house and beat them up. After this the accused shaved his head and put a garland of shoes around his neck.

Both the men have said in their statements that the accused had also threatened to harm them and their families when they went to the police. Police have arrested the woman's father, including the woman, in this case.
