As soon as the Meghalaya police reached to leave for Shillong with four accused, a passenger present at the airport suddenly killed one of the accused. Honeymoon became a journey of death

Raja Raghuvanshi had gone to Meghalaya to celebrate his honeymoon with his wife Sonam. After a few days, he went missing and then his dead body was found, which spread sensation across the state. People had questions and anger in their minds. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had demanded a CBI inquiry into this heinous murder, but the swift action of the police had already unraveled the layers of the murder.

Wife turned out to be the mastermind, had hatched a conspiracy with her lover

Shillong police revealed that Raja's wife Sonam turned out to be the mastermind in his murder. She, along with her lover Raj Kushwaha, got Raja killed through contract killers. So far, Sonam, Raj Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Chauhan and Anand Kurmi have been arrested in this case.

The journey from arrest to Shillong

Sonam was arrested by the UP Police from a dhaba in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. From there, she was kept in a one stop center and then the Shillong police took her to Meghalaya. The other accused were caught from Indore and Sagar. Now all four are being taken to Shillong so that further investigation of the case can be done there.
