Burglary / UGC's Twitter account hacked, country's reputed institutions on target of hackers for two days

The Twitter account of the University Grants Commission was hacked on Sunday. Apart from changing the DP and background picture of the UGC handle, the hacker also tagged hundreds of users and made hundreds of tweets.

Meteorological Department's Twitter handle was hacked

The Twitter handle of the Meteorological Department was hacked by hackers for more than two hours on Saturday. Hackers hacked it and started NFT trading on it. It showed a pinned message that was associated with some NFT trading. Initially its profile picture was changed, but then it started appearing blank. It took about two hours for the Meteorological Department to get it back.

Twitter handle of UP CM office was also hacked

Earlier, the Twitter handle of UP CM Yogi Adityanath's office was hacked late on Friday night. It was hacked for about 29 minutes. During this hackers deleted many tweets. After this the account was suspended for some time. Later on it was controlled. The next day on Saturday, the officials gave this information. About 40 lakh people follow this Twitter handle.
