Corona Vaccine / Union Health Ministry approves the vaccination of pregnant women against COVID19

Corona Vaccine | Now pregnant women in the country will also be vaccinated against corona. On the recommendation of the National Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) constituted by the Central Government on Vaccination, the Ministry of Health has approved the vaccination of pregnant women as well. The ministry said on Friday that pregnant women can now get vaccinated after registering on Kovin or directly visiting the Corona Vaccination Center.

The Union Health Ministry said on Friday that more than 34 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been given in the country so far. The ministry informed that a total of 9,41,03,985 people in the age group of 18-44 across all states and union territories have received the first dose of the vaccine and 22,73,477 have also received the second dose.

According to the report received till 7 am on Friday morning, 34,00,76,232 doses have been given and more than 42 lakh doses were given in the last 24 hours, the ministry said. The health ministry said that on the 167th day (July 1) of the vaccination campaign, 42,64,123 doses were administered, of which 32,80,998 people received the first dose and 9,83,125 people received the second dose.

On Thursday, 24,51,539 people in the age group of 18-44 received the first dose of the vaccine and 89,027 people took the second dose, the ministry said. "Over 50 lakh first doses were administered in the age group of 18-44 across 8 states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra," the ministry said.
