India / Vande Bharat Express train met with an accident after a herd of buffaloes came on the railway line

New Delhi : An accident occurred on Thursday with the Vande Bharat train going from Mumbai to Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The train collided with a herd of buffaloes between Vatva and Maninagar stations. Some buffaloes died after the accident and some part of the engine of the train broke down. JK Jayant, Senior PRO of Western Railway said that the accident happened at around 11:15 am.

Railway spokesperson said that the train was going from Mumbai to Gandhinagar. Suddenly 3-4 buffaloes came on the track between Gairatpur-Vatawa station. This caused some damage to the front part of the train. However, there was no problem with the train. After removing the remains of the animals, the train was pushed forward only after 8 minutes and it reached Gandhinagar on time. He said that the people in the surrounding villages are being explained by the Railways not to leave the cattle open around the track.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off this train on 30 September itself. With the new upgrade, this train can run at a maximum speed of 180 kmph. However, for now its maximum speed has been fixed at 130 kmph.
