Varun Gandhi BJP: BJP leader Varun Gandhi has filed a defamation case against those who insulted father Sanjay Gandhi. A person from Varanasi had made derogatory remarks against Sanjay Gandhi on social media. BJP's Pilibhit MP had reached the court on Saturday with his three lawyers. He filed a defamation case in front of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Abhinav Tiwari. The court recorded the statement of Varun Gandhi and fixed the date of April 25 for the hearing.

Varun Gandhi said in his complaint to the magistrate that his father Sanjay Gandhi was a well-known politician of the country and was respected all over the country, and he is still respected in the country. He told the court that on March 29, 2023, Vivek Pandey, a resident of Bhojubir in Varanasi district, had made indecent remarks against Sanjay Gandhi on his social media Twitter. A look at the Twitter handle @vivekkumar IND revealed that Vivek Pandey is the president of the Nationalist Hindu Mahasabha and a member of the BJP Mahanagar Varanasi Kisan Morcha.

Hearing on Varun Gandhi's case on April 25

According to Varun Gandhi's complaint, the accused described himself as the General Secretary of Nationalist Hindu and Kisan Morcha. The BJP leader also said that he was informed about this by the common people during his visit to Bilsanda in Bisalpur area. The court registered the complaint of Varun Gandhi and passed the order and fixed the date of hearing on 25th April.

Action will be taken if any elder is insulted

Varun Gandhi said that if derogatory remarks are made on his father or any elder, he will 'definitely' take legal action against him. Varun Gandhi said that such people will be taught a lesson. He also said that whatever decision the court takes in this matter, he will accept it.
