Bhopal : Police have registered a case against an unknown vegetable vendor for allegedly washing vegetables in drain water in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. A police official said on Tuesday that the action was taken after the video of the incident went viral on social media. He said that the incident took place in Sindhi Market area of ​​the city and in the video a person is heard telling the accused vegetable seller that washing vegetables in drain water is harmful.

District Magistrate Avinash Lavania said, "Taking cognizance of the matter, I have directed the concerned officials to take action. I have asked the officials of the Food Department and the local government to take strict action on getting information about adulteration and filth.

Police officer said that Bhopal District Food Safety Officer Devendra Kumar Dubey lodged a complaint against unknown vegetable vendor at Hanumanganj police station. He said that he had gone to Sindhi Market area but at present the accused vegetable vendor could not be traced. Police is searching for him.
