IPL 2022 | Virat Kohli Dinesh Karthik Mastermind: The 31st match of IPL 2022 is being played between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Batting first, RCB scored 181 runs on the back of 96 runs by captain Faf du Plessis. Lucknow started chasing this score was not good. Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey returned to the pavilion cheaply. But at the other end, captain KL Rahul was standing and scoring runs. But Harshal Patel became a victim on the last ball of the 8th over. Rahul's wicket has gone to Harshal Patel's account, but full credit goes to Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik.

Actually, the last ball of the over was thrown by Harshal Patel on the leg stump, KL Rahul wanted to play this ball, but he could not play and the ball went straight behind the wicket to Dinesh Karthik's gloves. Apart from Harshal Patel, no player appealed, no one had any idea that the ball was hitting Rahul's bat. The umpire did not give it out and declared the over over. Then Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik, who were present there, played the brain, if it is not a wide ball, then somewhere there must have been a connection between Rahul and Rahul. Both the players immediately demanded a review from the captain du Plessis.

RCB took this review and the third umpire found in the snicko meter that the fine edge of the bat had hit the ball. The umpire immediately asked the on-field umpire to reverse his decision and the review was in favor of RCB. Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs in 24 balls. As soon as Rahul is out, the match has gone in favor of RC. Till the writing of the news, Lucknow have scored 117 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 5 wickets and they are still 65 runs away from victory. Had Rahul not been out there, the match might have been in favor of Lucknow.

Talking about the competition, RCB, batting first, set a target of 182 runs to win against Lucknow on the basis of captain Faf du Plessis's innings of 96 runs. Chamira and Holder took 2-2 wickets for Lucknow. RCB didn't have a good start. In the powerplay, the team lost three wickets in the form of Anuj Rawat (4), Virat Kohli (0) and Glenn Maxwell (23). Virat Kohli got out on a golden duck.

After this Prabhudesai supported captain du Plessis for some time but he too returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs. After losing the fourth wicket at 62, it seemed that RCB would not even reach 150, but till Shahbaz (26) put up a 70-run partnership for the fifth wicket with du Plessis, the team got the team out of trouble. Du Plessis was dismissed after playing an innings of 96 runs in the last over with the help of 11 fours and two sixes. His innings is not less than a century. In the end, Karthik scored 13 runs in 8 balls.
