Lok Sabha Election: Amidst the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Mamata Banerjee has removed Kunal Ghosh from the post of General Secretary of the state organization of Trinamool Congress. The letter signed by Derek O'Brien said that Kunal Ghosh has been removed from the post of general secretary of the state organization for expressing views that do not match the views of the party. However, according to opposition party leaders, an atmosphere of Mamata vs Abhishek Banerjee is going on in Trinamool Congress. After the removal of Kunal Ghosh from the post, this issue has started gaining more momentum. Let us know what this whole matter is.

Two lobbies in Trinamool Congress

Kunal Ghosh was already removed from the post of party spokesperson for speaking anti-party things. This time, Kunal was removed from the post of General Secretary for praising North Kolkata BJP candidate Tapas Rai in a blood donation camp program in North Kolkata. It is clear from the statements of opposition party leaders that a lobby of Trinamool Congress is working behind the removal of Kunal Ghosh. If the opponents are to be believed, at present there are two lobbies in Trinamool Congress: one of Mamata Banerjee and the other of Abhishek Banerjee. Kunal Ghosh was formerly associated with Mamata Banerjee's lobby, but is currently known as a supporter of Abhishek Banerjee.

Fight between aunt and nephew

Some leaders of the opposition i.e. BJP say that this is actually a fight between aunt and nephew. Opponents say that in the fight between aunt and nephew, Kunal Ghosh was removed only to prove that Mamata's point is still in TMC. Opposition sources also say that Sudeep Bandopadhyay is Mamata Banerjee's candidate from North Kolkata. However, Abhishek Banerjee does not want Sudip Banerjee to win from North Kolkata!

Kunal Ghosh praised Tapas Roy

A rare moment was also seen during the Lok Sabha elections. Tapas Roy left Trinamool and joined BJP and became the candidate from Kolkata North. Former Trinamool Rajya Sabha MP and Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh praised Tapas Roy. Sitting on the same stage, he said that we wanted to keep Tapas Roy in the party (TMC) but could not. He is a very good candidate, people will understand and vote for him.
