Virat Kohli may not have won any ICC trophy for Team India under his captaincy, but his records are enough to testify that he should be included in the best batsmen as well as the best captains in the world. Under Virat's captaincy, Team India became the number-1 team in Tests, reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship, defeating teams like Australia, England and South Africa on its soil. Virat was born on 15 November 1988 in Delhi. On his 33rd birthday, Virat will be seen playing a match against Scotland in the T20 World Cup. Virat, who made Team India the Under-19 World Champion under his captaincy in 2008, also got a chance to debut in international cricket in the same year. Virat gave a different identity to Test cricket under his captaincy. He has always been saying that this format is the best format of cricket. Many veteran cricketers also see Virat as the brand ambassador of Test cricket.

Let's take a look at three such records which show that Virat is included in the best batsman as well as best captains-

1- Indian Captain with Most Test Wins: Virat Kohli has led Team India in 65 Test matches, out of which the team has won 38. He is at the top of the Indian captains in terms of most wins in Test cricket, while overall, there are only three captains ahead of him. Only Graeme Smith (53), Ricky Ponting (48) and Steve Waugh (41) are ahead of him.

2- The first Asian captain to beat Australia in Australia: Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, India defeated Australia in the Test series on the same soil in 2018-19. This was the first time that an Asian captain had beaten Australia on Australian soil. India then won the series 2-1. No Asian captain could achieve this feat in 70 years.

3- Fastest 10,000 ODI runs: Virat Kohli is seen as the strongest contender to break Sachin Tendulkar's records. Virat Kohli holds the world record for the fastest 10,000 test runs in ODIs. In this matter, Virat left Sachin far behind. Before Virat, this world record was recorded in the name of Sachin. Sachin did this in 259 innings, while Virat Kohli did this feat in just 205 innings.
