Foreign Minister attended Diwali reception in London

While in London, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the Diwali reception. During this, he said that today we are trying to give a new shape to the relations between India and UK. We are trying to do this because, over the past several decades, both our countries have changed profoundly. We have changed ourselves, our relationships, our interactions and perspectives on the world. It is therefore important that we create a partnership for a contemporary era in which we explore new convergences to see if there is any unrealized potential there.

India has changed, UK has also changed

Speaking further, the External Affairs Minister gave credit for the socio-economic revolution that took place in India in the last decade to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM Modi. In the program he said that the world has changed. Our relationships have changed. The UK has changed. India has also changed. You can ask me what has changed in India then I will say – Modi. Narendra Modi has implemented many transformative policies in India including Beti Padhao-Beti Bachao, Jan Dhan Yojana, Housing Scheme, Digital India, Startup India and Skill India Campaign.
