The organization's chief scientist Soumya Swaminathan has warned about the variants of concern in the future of the corona virus. He said that we have seen that the virus has been changing its form. It has been appearing in new forms and forms, so the possibility of a new variant of Corona cannot be ruled out. These days Swaminathan is on a tour of South Africa to know the condition of the epidemic.

Technical chief Karkhov also warned

Earlier, WHO technical chief Maria van Karkhove said that Omicron is not the final form of the corona. New forms of corona may come. The World Health Organization is pursuing four other variants of Omicron. We know a lot, but not everything, about Omicron. Hard to say anything about the variants. There is a lot of scope for change in this. Since it spreads very fast, there is also the possibility of it coming in new forms. That's why we have to speed up vaccination. The B.1.1529 Omicron variant was revealed in November 2021. Since then BA.1, BA.1.1, BA.2 and BA.3 have arrived. These are all within Omicron's realm.

Van Karkhove said the ba.2 variant is more contagious than ba.1. In such a situation, there is a possibility that it will be found in other parts of the world as well. According to the WHO's weekly pandemic report released on Tuesday, Omicron is spreading rapidly. It has been found in 97 percent of new cases of corona.
