Lok Sabha Election: The political chessboard has been set for the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. NDA and its allies have fielded all their candidates. Meanwhile, the Grand Alliance has not yet been able to announce the names of candidates on 10 seats. RJD-01, Congress-06 and Grand Alliance's new ally VIP have not announced the names of candidates on 03 seats. There are forty Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. In this, RJD is contesting on 23 seats, Congress on 09, Mukesh Sahni's VIP on 3 and Left parties are contesting on 05 seats.

In NDA, BJP- 17, JDU- 16, Chirag Paswan's party LJP (RV) are contesting on 05 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi's party Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular- 01 and Upendra Kushwaha's party Rashtriya Lok Morcha- 01 seat. BJP-JDU and all its allies have announced the names of all their candidates about a week ago.

Is Lalu not getting a wrestler?

Those who know the politics of Bihar know that Lalu Yadav asks to show the wrestler before giving seat to his ally in the alliance. Then after seeing whether the wrestler is strong or not, how much competition he will be able to give to the candidate of the opposing party, they decide to give him the seat. But this time Lalu probably gave seats to his colleagues without even seeing the wrestler. It seems to be the same regarding Congress and Mukesh Sahni.

There is a problem in one seat of RJD

Left parties have announced the names of all their candidates in the grand alliance. RJD has also announced the names of candidates for 22 out of 23 seats. There is a dilemma regarding Hina Shahab on one seat, Siwan. After Hina's announcement of contesting as an independent candidate, Lalu Yadav is afraid of breaking the MY equation. Those who know the politics of Bihar say that Lalu does not want to incur the displeasure of Shahabuddin supporters by angering Hina Shahab.

Lalu also fears that the path of his daughter Rohini, who is contesting from Saran Lok Sabha seat in the neighborhood of Siwan along with Bihar, will be difficult. Because like Siwan, coins in the name of Shahabuddin are still in circulation in Saran.

Congress is not getting a candidate

Here, the Congress party has been able to announce the name of its candidate on only three out of nine seats. Congress party has Sasaram, Patna Sahib, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Maharajganj, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj and Katihar seats. In this, current MP from Kishanganj Mohammad Javed, senior leader Tariq Anwar Katihar, Congress MLA Ajit Sharma have been given tickets from Bhagalpur. The name of Ajay Nishad, who joined Congress after not getting ticket from BJP, has also not been announced. Whereas Ajay Nishad has joined Congress only after deciding the ticket from Muzaffarpur.

It is being said that Congress is not getting strong candidates on many seats. Wherever it is found, there is a fight between the claimants. Bihar Congress State President Akhilesh Singh is trying to get his son Akash Singh a ticket from West Champaran. In 2019, Akash Singh had contested the elections from Upendra Kushwaha's party and lost.

Mukesh Sahni will not contest elections himself

Mukesh Sahni's party VIP has three seats in the grand alliance - RJD has given Jhanjharpur, Gopalganj and Motihari Lok Sabha seats to VIP from its account. Mukesh Sahni was claiming the Muzaffarpur seat. But even before they joined the Grand Alliance, Muzaffarpur went to the Congress. After this Mukesh Sahni has announced not to contest the elections. He said that he will make his workers contest on all three seats. It is also being said that they are not getting candidates for these seats. They have to look at the houses of other parties, especially RJD.

There are talks of Gulab Yadav getting ticket from VIP on Jhanjharpur seat. Gulab Yadav is a former RJD MLA. His wife has won the independent MLC election. Rape accused Gulab Yadav can be a VIP candidate. In Gopalganj and Motihari, even the names of the probables have not been revealed yet. VIP spokesperson Dev Jyoti said that the names are almost decided in Jhanjharpur. Only official announcement is yet to be made. Dev Jyoti said- Discussion is going on between VIP chief and Tejashwi Yadav regarding the candidates, their names will be announced soon.

‘Grand alliance has shortage of candidates’

The Grand Alliance has not been able to announce the name of its candidates on 10 seats. Will they have to bear the loss for this? In response to this question, senior journalist of Bihar Praveen Baghi says- Grand alliance has a shortage of candidates. Due to shortage of candidates, RJD has easily given its share of three seats to Sahani. RJD's position was not good in the three seats that Sahni got. They were not finding candidates there. As far as losses are concerned, after the names of NDA candidates were announced, they have started campaigning. On the other hand, the candidates of the Grand Alliance have not been decided. In this situation NDA may have initial advantage.
