Mallikarjun Kharge: Political rhetoric has intensified amid the organization of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has targeted BJP leaders and accused them of sidelining social and economic issues under the guise of Mahakumbh and religious events. Addressing the Congress' "Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan" rally held in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Kharge raised direct questions. He said, "Will the youth get employment by taking a dip in the Ganga? Will it end poverty or will it provide food to fill the stomach?"

Will not tolerate exploitation in the name of religion

Kharge clarified that his intention is not to hurt anyone's religious beliefs. He said, "We all believe in religion, but if the poor are exploited in the name of religion, then Congress will never accept it." He recalled the thoughts of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, stressing the need for social equality. He said, "Dr. Ambedkar's main objective was to establish equality in the society. For this, he made many laws through the Constitution. He got full support of Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru."

Gave example of tribal humiliation

Giving an example of inequality present in the society, Kharge mentioned an incident in Madhya Pradesh, where a tribal child was treated inhumanly. He said, "A tribal child was humiliated by urinating in his mouth. This incident is against the Constitution and human rights. In such cases, constitutional provisions have to be used properly, mere show-off will not work."

Sarcasm on Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath

Kharge made this statement at a time when Union Home Minister Amit Shah had come to take a dip with sadhus and saints in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present with him. Kharge took a dig at these leaders and said that the dip is being taken to create a better image on TV. He said, "Until the dip looks good on TV, keep taking a dip. But will this solve the problems of the poor and laborers of the country?"

Appeal for unity towards equality

Kharge appealed to the people present in the rally to adopt the ideals of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and work together to establish equality in the society. He said, "Until we are united, the fight for our rights will remain incomplete. We have to use the rights given by the Constitution in the right way."

Political temperature rises

During the Maha Kumbh, the temperature of the country's politics seems to be rising due to the combination of religious faith and politics. On the one hand, the Union Minister and Chief Minister are active in religious events, while on the other hand the opposition is accusing of hiding the real issues of the public under the guise of these events.

This rhetoric can become the main topic of political discussion in the future. At the same time, during the Maha Kumbh, the debate is likely to intensify on issues like religious and cultural importance as well as employment, education and equality.
