Sonali Phogat Case: The CBI has registered a case regarding the death case of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat. In connection with this case, the CBI team will go to Goa tomorrow. CBI has registered the case 25 days after Sonali's death. The Goa government had recommended to hand over the Sonali Phogat murder case to the CBI. After which on Monday, the Ministry of Home Affairs wrote a letter to the DoPT Ministry for a CBI inquiry into the matter.

Her family members had been demanding a CBI inquiry since the beginning of Sonali Phogat's death. For this, he met Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and gave his application in writing. Then the Haryana CM wrote a letter to Goa CM Pramod Sawant for a CBI inquiry into the matter.

Two days ago, Sonali Phogat's sister Rukesh, while reiterating the demand for a CBI inquiry, had also expressed suspicion of a political angle in the suspicious death of her sister. Rukesh had said that, "The truth will come out only after the investigation of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). We are not satisfied with the investigation of Goa Police. Goa Police is probing the case from the angle of the property. There is something behind the murder." There can be big people. He thanked the Khap Panchayats for pressurizing the government for a CBI inquiry into the matter. Rukesh had said that, "Khap panchayats have given their full cooperation. Due to khap panchayats, there is pressure on the governments of Haryana and Goa." A Khap Mahapanchayat was organized in Hisar on Sunday to demand a CBI inquiry into Sonali Phogat's death. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday gave its approval to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the death of Sonali Phogat.

Sonali Phogat died in Goa

Sonali Phogat was brought dead to a hospital in North Goa district on August 23, a day after reaching Goa. In this case, Goa Police later registered a murder case and arrested five people including Sonali's PA. Sonali Phogat, who rose to fame with her Tiktok video, contested the 2019 Haryana elections as a BJP candidate, but was defeated. She also appeared in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2020.
