New Delhi | Another shocking revelation has come to light in the alleged murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonali Phogat. In fact, a team of Goa Police reached Hisar district of Haryana on Wednesday for investigation. During this, the police also recorded the statements of the family. According to reports, one of the motives behind the alleged murder of Sonali could also be her farm house. Goa Police investigation revealed that Sonali's PA Sudhir Sangwan had already got the papers of her farm house prepared in his name.

According to the police, Sudhir wanted to take Sonali's farm house on lease for 20 years. Not only this, for this he had also prepared an agreement to pay an annual rent of 60 thousand rupees. Now Goa Police is also interrogating a lawyer who prepared these papers. According to the news, the land rate of Phogat's farm house area is Rs 3 crore per acre and the farm house is spread over 6 and a half acres.

In this case, Haryana Police has detained a person named Shivam from Meerut-Ghaziabad area of ​​Uttar Pradesh for questioning on Wednesday, August 31. After being taken into custody, the police on Tuesday visited the farmhouse of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonali Phogat in Hisar. Sonali's family members had lodged a complaint of theft from the farm house.

According to the complaint filed by the family, after the news of Sonali Phogat's death on August 23, a laptop, a digital video recorder of CCTV cameras and some documents were stolen from the farmhouse by Shivam, an aide of PA Sudhir Sangwan. Shivam is said to be a computer operator. Hisar superintendent of police Lokendra Singh told reporters in Hisar, "On his complaint a case of theft was registered a few days back. We have assured him that the matter is being thoroughly investigated."

Earlier, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that his government has submitted a "confidential report" related to the probe into the alleged murder of Phogat to the Haryana Chief Minister and Director General of Police. He had said that a team of Goa Police would record statements of some people in Haryana as part of the investigation.

Hailing from Haryana's Hisar district, Phogat (43), a former Tiktok star and contestant of reality TV show 'Bigg Boss', died under suspicious circumstances in Goa between August 22-23. She had reached Goa with two of her male companions two days before her death. So far, Goa Police has arrested five people including two of Phogat's associates in this case.
