Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 7 in India today at an event in New Delhi. Rumours suggest alongside Redmi Note 7 the company may also launch Redmi Note 7 Pro in India today. In India Xiaomi is expected to price the Redmi Note 7 around Rs 10,000. Xiaomi has tried new things with the Redmi Note 7. The USP of the Redmi Note 7 is the 48MP rear camera. Redmi Note 7 is available in funky colours & variants.

n China, the base model of the Redmi Note 7 with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage has been priced 999 yuan which roughly translates to Rs 10,500. There are two more models of the Note 7. The second variant of the Redmi Note 7 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage sells for 1199 yuan, roughly translates to around Rs 12,400 while the top-end model of the phone with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage retails for 1399 yuan, roughly translates to Rs 14,500. We expect all the three models of the Note 7 to head to India as well and the pricing should be pretty much close to the China pricing.

Xiaomi has tried new things with the Redmi Note 7, which is something we haven't seen on the previous Notes like the Redmi Note 6 Pro or Redmi Note 5 series. This is the first Redmi Note phone to come with waterdrop notch and gradient finish on the back. In China, the Redmi Note 7 is available in funky colours like pink, red, blue, and black and all the colour variants of the phone are expected to head to India too.The USP of the Redmi Note 7 is the 48MP rear camera. The Redmi phone includes two cameras on the back and single camera on the front which sits inside the waterdrop notch. On the rear panel, the Redmi Note 7 includes a primary camera of 48MP sensor paired with f/1.8 aperture and secondary camera of a 5MP sensor for capturing portrait shots. On the front, the Redmi Note 7 includes a 13MP camera which comes paired with lots of AI features like -- AI face unlock, AI smart beauty, AI single shot blur, among others.

Overall, the Redmi Note 7 is a much-improved version of its predecessor Redmi Note 6 Pro. The smartphone comes packed with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS display with screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display of the Redmi Note 7 is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. On the hardware front, the Redmi Note 7 is powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Redmi Note 7 comes packed by a 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4. We are not yet sure whether the same China variant of the Redmi Note 7 will come to India or the company will modify some specs to get the price of the phone right.
