Lok Sabha Election: Voting is being held on 88 seats in 13 states in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Earlier, voting was to be held on 89 seats, but due to the death of the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, voting is to be held in the third phase. With the end of the second phase of voting, the fate of big leaders like Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Tejasvi Surya, Hema Malini and Rahul Gandhi will be sealed in EVMs.

The fate of 1206 candidates is to be decided in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. Some of them are millionaires and some have just Rs 500. Here we are telling about the poorest and richest candidates included in the second phase.

Venkataraman richest

According to ADR report, Congress leader Venkataraman from Karnataka is the richest candidate in the second phase. He is also called Star Chandru. His total wealth is Rs 622 crore. DK Suresh of Karnataka Congress is the second richest leader, whose assets are Rs 593 crore. BJP's Hema Malini is at third place with assets worth Rs 278 crore. Madhya Pradesh Congress leader Sanjay Sharma is at fourth position with assets worth Rs 232 crore. HD Kumaraswamy, who is contesting against Star Chandru, who has assets worth Rs 622 crore, is no less. His net worth is Rs 217.2 crore.

Laxman has only 500 rupees

Laxman Nagarao Patil, an independent candidate from Nanded Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra, is the poorest candidate in this phase, he has only Rs 500. Rajeshwari KR, an independent candidate from Kasaragod, has only Rs 1000. Pruthvismarat, independent candidate from Amravati, has Rs 1400. He is at number three in the list. Dalit Kanti Dal leader Shahnaz Bano is the fourth poorest candidate. He has Rs 2000. She is contesting elections from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist) candidate VP Kochuman has just Rs 2,230. He is contesting from Kottam in Kerala.
