Cricket | Former Indian cricket team cricketer Yuvraj Singh was arrested by the Hisar police in Haryana in the case of derogatory remarks against Scheduled Castes. However, he was released immediately after getting interim bail. Last year, in a chat with Rohit Sharma on Instagram, Yuvraj had made casteist remarks about Yuzvendra Chahal. A complaint was lodged in Hansi, Hisar regarding this.

According to news agency PTI, Yuvraj Singh was arrested only on Saturday, but information in this regard has come to light today. Hansi Superintendent of Police Nitika Gehlot said that Yuvraj joined the investigation before DSP Vinod Shankar, the investigating officer in Hisar, as per the directions of the High Court. "After his arrest, he was released on interim bail. We have already recovered the cricketer's phone. A case was registered against Yuvraj Singh under sections 153A and 153B and other sections including SC ST Act.
