Meenakshi, an Indian woman, was also traveling in the train in which the firing and explosion took place. He said that we were stuck in the train. We were told that firing was taking place. Meenakshi said that our train was stopped, so gunshots were not heard. An announcement was being made in the train that there was something like smoke. We didn't know what the smoke was.

Another eyewitness, Sam Carcamo, said that the door of my subway opened. There was smoke and blood and people were screaming. He told that as soon as the door opened, a plume of smoke started coming out of the train. At the same time, Konrad Aderer said that I was on my way to 36th Street station in Brooklyn when a young man whose legs were bleeding. Another eyewitness, Claire, said she had forgotten how many shots were fired. He said the suspect first 'thrown some kind of cylinder', which initially appeared to be a subway employee as he was wearing orange clothes. An eyewitness said- First we heard a sound like a bomb blast. After that firing started. People searched the hiding place there, but many came in the grip of firing.

There is a tube area at the metro station from where metro trains run for three different routes. There was a sudden explosion in the morning and after some time there was the sound of firing. This caused an uproar. Some eyewitnesses say that a man was dressed as a construction worker. He threw a bag near the train. He also had a gun in his hand. After a few minutes the smoke subsided and many people were seen falling on the platform. Blood was pouring out of his body.

All train services from this station were suspended soon after the incident. The train where it was was stopped there. The New York Police commando team has taken control of the station.
