An encounter between security forces and terrorists is going on in Sunjwan of Jammu and Kashmir for five hours. So far two terrorists have been killed in the encounter. Terrorists attacked 15 CISF personnel near Sunjwan camp at around 4.15 am. The attack took place when the bus carrying the soldiers was on duty. The CISF also retaliated on the terrorists and forced the terrorists to flee. A CISF official said that ASI SP Patel died during the operation, while 5 jawans were seriously injured.
Jammu and Kashmir ADG Mukesh Singh said that there was information about the hiding of some terrorists in Sunjwan, after which the encounter started. The operation of security forces is still going on here.
Here, 4 terrorists have been killed so far in the ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla since Thursday. On Thursday, security forces killed three terrorists, including top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Yusuf Kantru. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists. Encounter is going on in Baramulla also.
A CISF official said that two terrorists, who were found hiding in a house in Sunjwan area, have been trapped by the security forces. Continuous firing is going on from both the sides. According to sources, information about terrorists was received during the checking of vehicles on Bathindi-Sunjwan highway, after which the soldiers started the operation.
One ASI martyr, 5 injured in encounterThe martyred jawan has been identified as SP Patel, ASI of CISF. Head constable Balraj Singh, SPO Sahil Sharma, head constable Pramod Patra, CISF constable Amir Soren and another jawan have been injured.
