This is the most famous Krishna temple of Mathura. The black colored idol of Lord Krishna is worshiped in this temple. This temple is situated inside a prison cell on the banks of river Yamuna, where Lord Krishna was once born. It is believed that Lord Krishna appeared in the cell of this temple. This temple is also known as Dwarkadhish temple. Millions of people come every year to see this divine temple in Mathura. The architecture of this ancient temple is worth seeing. 2. Shri Banke Bihari Temple, Vrindavan

Lord Shri Krishna was born in Mathura but his childhood was spent in Vrindavan. Lord Shri Krishna has also been called Banke Bihari, hence this temple was named after him as Shri Banke Bihari. In his childhood, Shri Krishna did all the mischiefs and Raasleela in Vrindavan only. ISKCON Temple, Prem Mandir, and Banke Bihari Temple are also worth visiting in Vrindavan. This temple is considered to be the most famous Krishna temple in Gujarat. This temple is also called Jagat Mandir. 4. Udupi Sri Krishna Matha Temple, Karnataka

5. Jagannath Puri, Orissa

Lord Shri Krishna is seated with his brother Balram and sister Subhadra in the Jagannath temple in Puri, Orissa. There is more excitement here than during Janmashtami during the Rath Yatra. This Rath Yatra is considered very important religiously. Lakhs of devotees from all over the world reach to participate in this Rath Yatra and pull the chariot of Jagannath ji.
