Itanagar: Six NSCN-IM insurgents were killed in an encounter with security forces in Khonsa area of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday, 11 July, reported news agency PTI quoting sources. One soldier of the Assam Rifles was also injured in the operation.The report added that the encounter took place at around 4:30 am and six weapons were recovered. The operation was launched after the intelligence inputs were received about the presence of armed insurgence in the area.According to a report in The Indian Express, the injured soldier is said to be stable and treatment at a military hospital.
