London Bridge: An incident of fire has come to light near the Union Street railway station in London's Sark. A fire broke out in a railway arch bridge near Union station here at 9:20 am (about 1:50 pm IST) on Wednesday. Now the fire has spread to the station. More than 70 fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot to control it.

Due to the fire, smoke has spread in the area. Four railway lines have been closed and 70 trains have been diverted. At the same time, nearby buildings have been evacuated for the safety of the people. Locals have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed to avoid fumes.

Smoke spread over an area of ​​several kilometers

According to Network Rail, a train driver first saw the flames. The driver saw smoke rising over the railway line between London Bridge and Waterloo East. The smoke raised due to the fire has spread over an area of ​​several kilometres. Network Rail reported that the fire had spread to a car parking lot, and that two electric cars were hit.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) got information about the incident at 9:29 am on Wednesday (around 2 pm Indian time). According to the LFB, the entire railway arch under the tracks had caught fire and smoke could be seen from several kilometers away. The fire brigade said that at 11:20 pm (3:50 IST), the fire was stopped from spreading. The work of extinguishing it is going on.

Eyewitness told - was rescued from office

Hanushe, an eyewitness from South London, told that black smoke had reached her office. After which he was rescued and pulled out. Hanushe told that the buildings around our office have also been evacuated.

The fire brigade has told us that we may have to wait for hours to go inside, as the fire is getting worse and worse. At the same time, a student, Lauren Chopin, told that due to the smoke, she had to wear a mask in her apartment.
