Once again both of them faced each other and in a very exciting match, Aditi defeated Bakera by a close margin of 149-147 and captured the World Championship. On the other hand, Jyoti, who lost to Aditi in the semi-finals, made a comeback and won the bronze medal match.Youngest world championBy achieving this feat at the age of just 17, Aditi also made a world record. She has become the youngest player in the history of World Archery to become World Champion. This is the first time in the history of Indian archery, when in any event (recurve and compound), any male or female archer has won individual gold. Before Aditi, veteran archer Deepika Kumari had won silver medals in 2011 and 2015. On the other hand, Tarundeep Rai and Atanu Das had also won silver medals among men.Second gold in 30 daysThis gold of Aditi is not only special because she won the first World Championship for India, but also because she ruled the world from junior archery to senior archery within a month.
