Bihar Politics: Even after the coming into existence of the new NDA government led by Nitish Kumar in Bihar, it continues to be a topic of discussion in political circles. The reason is the floor test to be held on 12th February. The ruling coalition wants the Speaker of the Assembly to be removed from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) quota before the floor test, while the Speaker himself is in no mood to leave his post anytime soon. In such a situation, there is a fear of being played here. The apprehension has intensified after the statement given by the speaker. Hence NDA has also come into action.

Speaker Avadh Bihari Choudhary from RJD quota has made his intention clear. Citing the rules, he said that after receiving the notice, he has the right to remain in his post for 14 days. In such a situation, political turmoil has intensified regarding how long will Awadh Bihari Chaudhary remain on the post of Speaker. It is being said that Awadh Bihari Chaudhary will not leave his post before 21st February under any circumstances. Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker Maheshwar Hazari from Janata Dal United (JDU) quota claims that before the floor test on February 12, a no-confidence motion will be presented against Awadh Bihari Chaudhary and he will have to resign from his post.

Deadlock over Speaker's resignation?

It is being claimed by the NDA that as soon as the Grand Alliance government fell, the notice for the removal of the Speaker was given by the NDA MLAs on January 28. Therefore, he will have to resign on February 12, otherwise he will be removed from his post through a no-confidence motion. Whereas Awadh Bihari Chaudhary is saying that he will receive the notice through the Secretary on 7th February. Therefore the matter is becoming complicated.

According to Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, there is a provision in the law to continue in the post despite the no-confidence motion against him before 21st February. It is believed that RJD will bring a proposal regarding voting in the House with the help of these rules and in case of absence of some MLAs, RJD will go to the Governor and stake claim to form the government by citing minority government.

How much truth is there in RJD's claims?

Many RJD leaders are continuously claiming to have played in Bihar. As soon as RJD was out of the government on January 28, Tejashwi Yadav had also strongly said that he would have played in Bihar. At the same time, RJD spokesperson Bhai Virendra is also creating sensation by saying that he has played against the NDA government. Not only this, yesterday i.e. Thursday, Lalu Prasad's daughter-in-law and Tejashwi Yadav's wife Rajshree Yadav also made a strong pitch for toppling the NDA government on the day of the floor test by claiming that a dozen MLAs have switched sides.

In such a situation, the question arises whether what RJD is indicating is possible to happen in Bihar or whether RJD is trying to bring some confused MLAs to its side by creating psychological pressure. However, senior JDU leader and Chief Whip Shravan Kumar has said that some contractors are continuously trying to buy JDU MLAs. But this effort of RJD is not going to succeed under any circumstances.

For this reason, JDU leaders are organizing a big banquet at their house on Saturday, where after scrutinizing the presence of all the party MLAs, they will be able to get concrete information about the votes cast in favor of NDA. JDU is continuously rejecting what is being said by RJD. It is being said from JDU that all the MLAs of the party are in touch with them. Therefore, there is no remote question of the party breaking up.

On the other hand, 3 out of 19 Congress MLAs not going to Hyderabad is indicating a lot. Congress is claiming that everything is fine. But it is being said that these 3 MLAs can vote in favor of NDA if needed. Well, the entire responsibility lies on the replacement of the speaker. If Awadh Bihari Chaudhary continues to hold the post of Speaker from RJD quota for a few more days, then it will not be easy for NDA to prove its majority.

Why was BJP engaged in training of MLAs?

In fact, BJP is also facing the threat of losing MLAs. It is being said that a section of BJP is very angry with the appointment of Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha as Deputy Chief Ministers. Therefore, BJP MLAs can spoil the game of NDA by remaining absent during the floor test. This is the reason why a banquet was suddenly organized at Samrat Chaudhary's house two days ago in the evening.

When things did not seem to work out, BJP started uniting its MLAs in the name of a 2-day training camp. Therefore, in the name of two-day training camp in Gaya, it is being said that a strong effort is being made to keep the MLAs together.

What is the basis for suspicion of break in NDA?

There is a fear among JDU and BJP MLAs that Nitish Kumar may dissolve the Assembly in March and hold elections along with the Lok Sabha. According to the information, Nitish Kumar wants that NDA can benefit by holding assembly elections along with Lok Sabha elections. Whereas JDU, which was reduced to only 43 seats in the year 2020, will be able to capitalize on the popularity of BJP leader PM Modi if assembly elections are held along with the Lok Sabha elections.

According to a JDU leader, Nitish Kumar's idea is to take with one hand and give with the other. This means that the leaders of Nitish's party say that it is certain that NDA will benefit from the entry of JDU in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, the same benefit that BJP is trying to get by bringing Nitish along in the Lok Sabha elections, Nitish Kumar wants to take the same benefit in the name of PM Modi by getting him along with the Lok Sabha in the Assembly elections. Therefore, Nitish Kumar is busy preparing a plan to hold elections simultaneously.

Obviously, Nitish Kumar is trying to play this trick to increase the numbers of JDU. At the same time, JDU and RJD MLAs including BJP are very upset after knowing about this plan of Nitish Kumar. According to a JDU MLA, holding elections one and a half year before time is not without danger. Therefore, no winning MLA is in favor of contesting the assembly elections so early.

It is being said that RJD camp is rapidly spreading this news among NDA MLAs. Therefore, many NDA MLAs seem to be in favor of toppling Nitish's government during the floor test on 12th February. In such a situation, whether NDA's floor managers are successful or Lalu Prasad's trick, it will be known on 12th February. But there is doubt whether Bihar would have played strongly during the floor test.
