Uttar Pradesh | A controversy has erupted in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh over Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra's upcoming film Thank God. Objections are being raised about the scenes filmed on Lord Chitragupta in the movie Thank God. It is alleged that in the trailer of the film, the adorable Lord Chitragupta of Kayastha society is shown in modern clothes. Actor Ajay Devgan in the role of Lord Chitragupta is using objectionable language. Since the headquarters of KP Trust is in Prayagraj. There are many big organizations of Kayasthas, headquarters of many organizations and big office bearers live here, in such a situation the voice of protest was bound to arise from here. Poster war has started in Prayagraj against the film. Kayasthas have warned of agitation.

The International Kayastha Federation has pasted posters across the city in protest against the film. There has been a demand that the film should not be released. Before the release, the scene filmed on Lord Chitragupta should be removed. State Secretary Advocate Kalpana Srivastava says that the protest will be done by taking to the road. There is a demand from the government that it should take some step respecting the Kayastha community. She said that if nothing happens, she will take refuge in the High Court and seek a stay on the release.

The office bearers of All India Kayastha Mahasabha, KP Trust have also demanded removal of the scene from the film. National President Chaudhary Jitendra Nath Singh says that the objectionable scene on Lord Chitragupta should be removed. KP Trust spokesperson Anil Srivastava says that such a film will not be tolerated by the revered God of Kayastha society. He said that a big movement would be launched regarding this.
