SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has denied any alliance with Azad Samaj Party leader Chandrashekhar Azad, stating his party is winning without him.

Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in the state of Uttar Pradesh have gained tremendous momentum. All major political groups have officially entered the electoral battlefield and immersed themselves completely in intensive campaigning. Alongside this charged political atmosphere, discussions regarding political alliances, seat-sharing formulas, and collaborative strategies are continuously underway among various regional and national parties. Amidst this ongoing political hustle, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav addressed a key press conference on Tuesday. During this interaction, the Samajwadi Party chief delivered a major political setback to Azad Samaj Party Kanshiram president Chandrashekhar Azad by explicitly ruling out any possibility of an electoral alliance with him. On top of that, Akhilesh Yadav also launched a sharp and direct political attack on All India Majlis E Ittehadul Muslimeen AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

While addressing questions regarding a potential electoral pact with Member of Parliament Chandrashekhar Azad and his outfit, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav categorically stated why an alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad would even happen, while he went on to assert with high confidence that his party is fully winning the upcoming electoral contest even without Chandrashekhar. Without taking his name directly, Akhilesh Yadav took a scathing dig at AIMIM party president Asaduddin Owaisi. Directing his remarks at Owaisi, the SP chief questioned whose hands the string is actually held in, while he remarked that a kite flies only as high as the slack provided to it, adding that once the string is gone, the entire game comes to an end. The reality, according to Yadav, is that the more slack provided from behind, the higher the kite will soar. Expanding further on his political assessment, Akhilesh Yadav declared that this time the ongoing contest isn't about an eighty-twenty percentage divide, but rather a ninety-ten game, emphasizing that those who are oppressed constitute the ninety percent.

Prior to this definitive statement by Akhilesh Yadav, MP Chandrashekhar Azad had Notably heightened the political tension for the SP leadership on Monday, while chandrashekhar had publicly extended a formal alliance offer to Akhilesh Yadav. Elaborating on his proposal, Chandrashekhar stated that if the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is to be removed from power, Akhilesh must take everyone along and accommodate diverse forces. He added that all participating parties must be given their due share and rightful representation in the alliance. However, Akhilesh Yadav chose to reject this collaborative proposal outright.

On the other hand, prior to this latest political exchange, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also launched a fierce attack on Akhilesh Yadav. Owaisi alleged that practically anyone who speaks up for the legitimate rights of Muslims is viewed by Akhilesh as an enemy, while owaisi recalled that at the time when the tragic Muzaffarnagar riots took place, Akhilesh Yadav had forty-seven Muslim legislators in his ranks, yet none of them bothered to look after the welfare of the affected Muslims. Owaisi launched a bitter jibe, claiming that while riots were unfolding, Akhilesh Yadav was sitting comfortably in Saifai watching dance performances. Owaisi alleged that Akhilesh perceives every person sporting a beard and a cap as Ravana. Owaisi concluded by stating that whenever he raises his voice for Muslim rights, Akhilesh labels him an agent of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
