What happened in the court, know the details

Delhi Police will present Vibhav Kumar in the court today itself and will demand remand. Hearing on Vibhav Kumar's anticipatory bail petition has started in Tis Hazari Court. Senior advocate N Hariharan started presenting arguments on behalf of Vibhav Kumar. Advocate Hariharan is appearing on behalf of Vibhav Kumar. The lawyer said - We had to trouble you on Saturday because such a situation arose. Vibhav is present in the police station. He has been there since 12 o'clock and there is a possibility of arrest.

A case has been registered under IPC 308 and other sections. There is no section which carries a punishment of more than seven years.

Lawyer - No notice was given to the accused in this case.

Advocate Hariharan said that no one can believe the allegations made.

We do not know the condition of Vibhav right now, we fear that he may be arrested.

Lawyer: The allegations that Swati Maliwal is making are beyond comprehension. Why Vibhav would start fighting like this is beyond comprehension!

Lawyer: Why would anyone do such an act at the CM's residence as Maliwal has alleged?

Advocate Hariharan said that hundreds of people were present there, if there was any assault on Swati she would have screamed, if she had screamed then the people present there would have heard it.

Advocate Hariharan said that CCTV was present at the place where the incident took place. To meet the CM, it is necessary to take an appointment first, but Swati reached the CM residence directly, which is a direct breach in the CM's security.

CCTV of May 13 was shown in the court in which security personnel were taking Swati Malwal out of the CM's house.

The judge was shown the CCTV video of Swati Maliwal coming out of the CM residence.

Seeing the CCTV, the judge said that Swati Maliwal was wearing a kurti with no buttons on it, so no question of breaking the buttons arises.

Government lawyer said in the court-

  • A one-sided picture is being shown, 164 statements of the complainant have been made.
  • The court should not take any decision on granting any relief without the response of the investigating officer.
