Jodhpur. A soldier of the Indian Army became a victim of the honeytrap of a Pakistani female spy. He started chatting with the girl on social media and started leaking important military information related to the Indian Army. Police Intelligence has carried out this action on the inputs of Military Intelligence. The arrested jawan Pradeep Kumar (24) is a resident of Roorkee district of Uttarakhand. The investigating agencies arrested him after joint interrogation. A case has been registered against the accused Pradeep Kumar under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
Director General of Police (Intelligence) Umesh Mishra said that the arrested army personnel Pradeep Kumar was in contact with a Pakistani woman through social media. On receiving its input, it was monitored. Monitoring revealed that some information on behalf of Pradeep Kumar is being given to Pak intelligence agency through social media. This information was being shared with a woman. She was associated with the army personnel spuriously as a female Pak agent.Army personnel Pradeep is a resident of UttarakhandOn this, the interrogation was started after taking the army personnel into custody on May 18 in the afternoon. Pradeep Kumar has now been arrested after interrogation by all the agencies at the Joint Inquiry Center, Jaipur. He is a resident of Krishnanagar street number 10 of Gangnagar police station area of Roorkee district of Uttarakhand. Pradeep had joined the Indian Army three years ago. After training, he was posted to the post of Gunner. He was posted in Jodhpur.Used to talk by voice call and video callPradeep used to chat with the woman on WhatsApp. Talked through voice call and video call. This woman had told Pradeep Kumar that she was a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The woman told herself to be posted in MNS in Bangalore. The female agent had made Pradeep Kumar come to Delhi to meet and get married. After that started asking for photographs of confidential documents related to the army. Pradeep Kumar stealthily dragged the photo of a confidential document related to the army from his office from his mobile and sent it to the female agent through WhatsApp.
